Just shortly before we came into Columbia, SC

I am not sure which race track this is, but it has to be one of the big ones used for NASCAR type racing. Hope you liked some of the photos from my flight from San Diego that I took.

More photos of flight from San Diego part 2.

The second photo towards the top center is one of our subs coming into port at San Diego. The bottom photo has several dishes set up.

Leaving San Diego by Navy planes.

Flying to Denver, CO

Flight to Denver and the last photo is leaving Denver over the rockies. Lots of white snow on the mountain tops.

McCrady Training Center at Ft. Jackson

Church, shoppette, chow hall/classrooms for Army classes, computer lab and admin space for Navy personnel, back side of barricks row looking to the north.

Pop-up range for quals.

Some of the targets you have to hit as they pop up. They ranged from 75, 100, 150, 200, 250 and 300 yards out. They randomly pop up one to two targets at a time. When two targets pop up you were to hit the closer target first then engage the second target. The targets stayed up between 3-10 seconds depending on the distance and how many were up. Here is someone behind a M4 close corders weapon. With the shorter barrel it is not very accurate past 200 yards.

Another day at the range.

My wonderful battle gear all neatly stacked. Shooting at the range and having lunch inbetween shooting.

Day at the range.

From shooting to hanging tight until needing to go to the next stage. All weapons stacked and gear set up neatly.

At McCrady Training Center at Fort Jackson, SC

Top is my bunk. I do not have to share, so I took the bottom rack for myself. The building 3940 is where I am staying. The rows of barricks are very neatly placed. Couple of my shipmates Freeman and Johnson from my Platoon.

Arrive at Columbia, South Carolina

Arriving at the air strip just outside of Columbia. Everyone is ready to get started.
